Last Saturday marked a new chapter in Robinette Farms history. We sold at our first Farmers' Market in Omaha!
For years we have avoided the Omaha market scene simply because we didn't want to drive the extra distance to get there!
But, with the expansion of our production and our entry into the Omaha retail and restaurant markets with our micro greens, we thought it may be a good idea for us to reach out to our new customers in Omaha this year.
We are season vendors at the Old Market Farmers' Market on Saturday mornings from 8am to 12:30pm. Alex and I are hopeful that we will build a supportive community at that market, just as we have in Lincoln.
But don't worry, CSA is our priority! Farmers' Markets and our wholesale accounts contribute to our overall profits, but CSA is by far the main focus of Robinette Farms.
Over the years our CSA Members have supported us in countless ways! Helping us buy seeds, supplies and tools, pay employees every year and even helping us buy the farm in 2013! Not to mention the wonderful friendships we have made and community love we receive all the time!
So, while we are excited to be trying out the new market in Omaha, what we are more excited about is the new Harvie system and the flexibility that it will bring to our Members and to the farm.
It's going to be a fun ride this summer!
